Ann Marie has over 20 years of experience as a teacher and staff developer, in addition to spending 14 years as an administrator. This extensive experience has guided her exceptional career as a school leader, earning her numerous awards and recognitions (including Educator of the Year, twice!). Under her leadership, PS 164 was awarded the CSA Performance Bonus four years in a row, placed on the Chancellor’s Honor Roll and chosen to be a Mentor Site for Collaborative Communities of Practice. In addition, Ann Marie was asked by the Superintendent to be a member of the Selection Team for future model sites. In 2004 she was also chosen to be a Cahn Fellow for Distinguished Principals through Teachers College, which led to her current position on the Selection Committee for future Cahn Fellows.
During her years as principal, Ann Marie was selected to mentor new principals through the “New Principals on Boarding” program. Now retired, Ann Marie remains active in the education world and is delighted to continue working with new and experienced principals as a Coach/Facilitator for NYC Leadership Academy.
