Liliana Polo-McKenna joined the NYC Leadership Academy in the summer of 2013 with 12 years of experience as a teacher and school leader in NYC and an aspiring principal coach in Boston charter schools through Harvard’s School Leadership Program.
In her role as National Leadership Development Strategist with NYCLA, she has supported curriculum design, facilitation, and coaching in Rhode Island, and most recently in NYCLA’s i3 initiative to support its Teaming Model in partnership with the NYC Department of Education, and Philadelphia School District’s new principal induction program.
Liliana holds a BA and MAT from Brown University, School Administration and Leadership Certificate from Queens College at CUNY, and most recently earned an Ed.L.D. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where her capstone focused on supporting leaders and their teams in transformation schools in Rhode Island. Liliana is also a member of NYCLA’s 3rd cohort of the Aspiring Principal Program.
