Associate Director, Research, Evaluation & Impact
Renata Peralta joined the NYC Leadership Academy in 2015 and currently serves as the Associate Director in Research, Evaluation, and Impact. In this capacity, she conducts program evaluations and case study research on NYCLA programs.
Previously, Renata conducted quantitative analysis of Philadelphia policies at the American Civil Liberties Union, qualitative program evaluations at Research for Action, and qualitative program evaluations for the New York City Department of Education. Her research background combined with her experience in the classroom and in government has given her a holistic view of education.
Renata received her B.A. in Political Science, and her teaching certificate, from Swarthmore College. She received her M.S.Ed in Education Policy in the University of Pennsylvania, and she is currently a doctoral candidate in the Politics and Education program at Teachers College.
