Since 2003, the NYC Leadership Academy has offered comprehensive leadership development programs for aspiring and early-career principals that are rigorous, relevant and responsive to the New York City Department of Education’s critical need for transformational school-level leadership. Through this work, we have been recognized as a national model for principal preparation and support.
To date, more than 1,000 national and international leaders of school systems, universities and non-governmental agencies have come to learn about our work firsthand. We welcome visitation requests by practitioners, policymakers, and funders interested in developing and/or strengthening school leadership development programs in their states and districts.
Visits to the Leadership Academy are differentiated based on the expressed learning need of the participants, but typically include an overview, program observation and/or a school visit and meeting time with programatic staff. For more information, please contact us
