They’ve been trained through our nationally recognized Aspiring Principals Program and they serve over 120,000 students in NYC public schools every day.

Compared to other principals, our principals serve more low-income students (65.9% free lunch eligible) and Black and Hispanic (85.4%) students, with more inexperienced teachers (52.9% with <2 years), according to an independent study by the Institute for Education and Social Policy at New York University.

96% of NYC school leaders who receive our coaching were retained as principals
After being coached for their first three years, coached principals were retained for a fourth year of school leadership in the district, while only 76% of principals who did not elect to be coached were retained.

Training 450 Leaders, Impacting Over 1,400 Schools Across the Country
In 2012, NYC Leadership Academy trained and supported nearly 450 district leaders, coaches and other school leadership professionals, influencing the practice of transformative leadership in over 1,400 schools outside of New York City.
