NYC Leadership Academy President & CEO Dr. Nancy Gutiérrez today was named a Fall 2019 Pahara-Aspen Education Fellow. A partnership between the Pahara and Aspen Institutes, the Fellowship selects a diverse group of high potential leaders who are reimagining public education to develop them as leaders in the field. Pahara-Aspen Fellows become part of the Aspen Global Leadership Network, which currently includes more than 2,800 Fellows from 60 countries who are collectively making tremendous positive change in the world.

“I am honored and humbled to be selected as part of such a prestigious and exceptional group of leaders in education,” said Dr. Gutiérrez. “As I expand my own leadership skills through this opportunity, I will guide the NYC Leadership Academy in deepening and expanding our efforts to develop school and school system leaders who can identify and address inequities in their school systems and in turn transform learning for every child.”

Over two years, the 25 Fellows will participate in a series of seminars and a leadership project that will enable them to reflect on and grapple with issues of leadership, diversity, education, and social change. Please see the Fellowship press release for more detail on the program and the complete list of Fellows.
