Racial and cultural equity are difficult to achieve in schools. NYCLA's newly released Equity Sims engage educational leaders in reflection and decision-making through interactive, video-based scenarios related to issues of race and equity in schools. The Equity Sims are a flexible professional learning resource to help district and school leaders build shared capacity to identify and address actual issues related to race and equity.
Two sims are currently available: one focuses on creating an inclusive school climate in a community with shifting demographics and the other deals with issues related to low expectations at a struggling middle school. Two additional sims will be released this September. Learn more.
